Job Description:
The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategy and managing the day-to-day marketing programs to support the existing acquiring model. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the existing acquiring model migrates to the new acquiring model in a timely and cost effective manner and at the same time safeguarding the existing model acquisition, activation and retention outlet goals. The candidate will propose, develop and manage an integrated acquisition business model, marketing plans and review marketing strategies.
The position coordinates with cross functional groups to identify challenges, recommend and implement solutions across channels. The candidate will stay abreast of new technologies supported by the industry and change strategy and programs accordingly in the marketing environment to best serve the objectives of the organization. The position requires experience with business architecture, operations, business analysis, and/or project management. The position relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The candidate must be able to perform a variety of tasks. Lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The candidate should have a minimum of 5-7 years related business experience and extensive experience with the management of large cross functional projects impacting multiple systems
Goal(s):
1. Manage existing acquiring model Merchant Lifecycle campaigns, functions, and uncover all contributing activities to ensure the achievement of the Network Net Newly Boarded Metrics:
a. 55.25% Net Newly Boarded Test Transaction Ready (TTR) ? 10%
b. 63.75% Net Newly Boarded Cardholder (CH) Active ? 20%
c. 85% Net Newly Boarded Transaction Ready (TR) ? 10%
2. Manage Usage Growth campaigns targeted to 5.0MM existing Merchant Portfolio ensuring optimal usage levels and to ensure the achievement of the Network Portfolio Metrics:
a. 125,000 Ever-Active Merchants ? 10%
b. 4.54% 30 Day Avg FY YOY Increase ? 15%
3. Manage all facets of the existing Strategic Portfolio Closure Strategy ensuring consistent communication with Network Planning to ensure accurate New Outlet and Existing Portfolio projections are communicated to Sr. Management. ? 10%
4. Manage and contribute to the migration of the existing and new acquiring models as it relates to the existing acquiring model Merchant Lifecycle and the components to be leveraged in the new acquiring model Acquirer Portfolio Lifecycles. ? 15%
5. Manage monthly Plan, Flash and Pattern, and Reforecast processes. ? 5%
6. Enroll and participate in appropriate number of training classes and seminars to support career growth and individual development plans. ? 5%
SKILLS
Required:
? Bachelor?s degree required or equivalent business experience.
? Strong analytical understanding of a business model with the ability to apply findings to an actionable marketing plan
? Has successfully led business critical projects of large scope and large budget (preferably using Discover?s PDP project implementation methodology).
? Has an ability to work both cross-departmentally as well as across multiple business units.
? Proficient in creating the following:
-Request for Proposals (RFPs)
-Business Proposals
-Cost Benefit Analyses
-Business Requirement Documents
-Business Process Flow Diagrams
-Product Development
-Project Plans
? Experienced in vendor management.
? Ability to conceptualize and communicate strategic approaches and goals.
? Ability to work closely with other departments in the direction and use of their resources toward goals.
? Ability to prepare and communicate project plans/status to senor level management.
? Ability to create a new integrated communication process and marketing plan.
? Ability to oversee strategy and manage the day-to-day activities for UDA migration regarding test transaction readiness, activation and acquirer performance.
? Ensure that the existing acquisition outlet goals are achieved via all channels and tracked monthly via management reports.
? Access and understand the repository of overlays for data enrichment to ensure the appropriate analytics are performed for Acquirer usage and Merchant Profiling.
? Advanced knowledge of the Payments Industry.
? Strong PC competency (MS Office products, Visio, and Microsoft Project) required.
