ANALYST, LAB SERVICES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Catholic Healthcare West (CHW), headquartered in San Francisco, Calif., is a system of 41 hospitals and medical centers in California, Arizona and Nevada. Founded in 1986, CHW is the eighth largest hospital system in the nation and the largest not-for-profit hospital provider in California.

The position is responsible for supporting the business development initiatives that support the vision for laboratory services in all of CHW markets. Reporting to the Director of Lab Development and Business Development to establish annual business plans and identify programs and services to achieve growth and market share goals.

Major Responsibilities:

(1) Develop reporting mechanism to track/evaluate performance of lab in-sourcing initiative and report on ongoing basis.

(2) Develop reporting structure to document performance of expansion of lab out-reach opportunity.

(3) Performance analysis of lab consolidation opportunities.

(4) In conjunction with managed care, evaluate charging and managed care
price strategies for laboratory services.

(5) Supporting in evaluating performance of current outsourced arrangements.

(6) Create and deliver presentations to large groups.

Position Requirements:

(1) Bachelors degree in Finance or Business Administration preferred.

Experience:

(1) Three years experience in hospital finance required.
(2) Knowledge of Laboratory Finance desirable.

Knowledge/Skills:

(1) Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
(2) Experience with meeting facilitation and presentation skills.
(3) Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
(4) Database management experience.
(5) Analytical experience with equally strong consultative and relationship building capabilities.
