POSITION DESCRIPTION
Accountable for the accounts payable processes. ?Including matching invoicing with appropriate back-up, auditing of invoicing and purchase orders, working with management to receive proper approval and ensure timely payment to vendor. ?Also responsible for new vendor set-up, period end accrual transactions and the keying of journal entries associated with accounts payable. ?Position is required to make sure all transactions are consistently maintained.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. ?Perform all accounts payable transactions for Kissimmee. ?This includes receiving invoicing from vendor, matching invoicing to packing slips, purchase orders and/or contracts. ?Auditing invoice prices, quantities, terms, freight and tax against purchase order and contract. ?

2. ?Processing transactions in a timely manner to guarantee full capture of payment terms and applicable discounts.

3. ?Review general ledger accruals from previous period to ensure accurate re-accrual or payment of invoice and prepare accrual on all open pack slips/invoices at period end.

4. ?Responsible for new vendor set up, completing forms and pulling together correct address information and W-9 forms.

5. ?Auditing of purchase orders and contract account numbers for accuracy and reasonability vs account number description procedure.

6. ?Responsible for other miscellaneous functions as time allows including assisting in Payroll, Front Desk responsibilities and assisting others in the department.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES
This position requires a minimum of 3-4 years experience in accounting or an Associates Degree in Accounting or Business. ?The individual must be proficient with data entry in computer systems. ?Working knowledge of Windows, Excel, and Microsoft Word would be a plus. ?The individual needs to be analytical in thinking, proficient in auditing and detailed oriented. ?This position requires solid learning skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment regarding business activities.

The individual must possess good teamwork abilities and be able to function well in a team oriented environment. ?The position requires constant interaction with co-workers, local management and plant staff. ?The individual needs to be able to communicate with all of these different personnel in an effective and professional manner. ?The individual must be a self starter with strong initiative and be able to accept accountability
