Residential Mortgage Finance /Associate -Due Diligence Manager

Senior Underwriter

 

Due Diligence Manager will supervise the review of residential mortgage loans for both bulk purchases and third party securitizations and communicate with the seller the results of such findings.  Act as a resource to other department members for matters related to diligence issues.




 

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
At least five years of experience in the residential mortgage lending business is required.  Must have a minimum of two years as an underwriter. 

 

Skills
Complete knowledge and understanding of the residential mortgage lending process including:
-  documents
-  underwriting guidelines (including Prime, Alt-A and Subprime),
-  legal and regulatory compliance issues
-  the property appraisal process. 
Must have the ability to identify and quantify risk and be able to negotiate loan exclusions with representatives of sellers/issuers. 
Must have the ability to communicate findings to senior members in Mortgage Finance, Mortgage Trading and Legal. 
Familiarity with outsourcing of bulk due diligence procedures and systems a plus. 
Must be organized, thorough, strong attention to detail, team player.
