BUSINESS OVERVIEW

Global Securities Services provides custodial and clearing services to corporations, insurance companies, financial institutions, mutual funds and private and public pension funds.  The business maintains customer securities in a custody environment and services the assets by settling trades, processing of dividends and interest; withholding, depositing and reporting of tax; handling Corporate Actions; and providing accounting and billing statements to clients regarding their investments.

Responsibilities: 

Reconcile, Audit, verify, organize client portfolios and client deliverables. Ensure client's portfolios and reconciled daily to the custody systems. 

Ensure client reports are delivered timely and accurately following quality control procedures checklists.

Analyze all transaction activity including realized gain/loss, corporate actions, expenses, benefit payments, income distributions, and tax reclaims.

Analyze all holdings including unrealized gain/loss, market values, accrued income, earned income, prices, shares, and cost basis.

Analyze fluctuations of Account Level summary reports including total market value, unrealized gain/loss, realized gain loss, and cost basis.

Perform asset/Liability reconciliation with Investment Manager for Portfolios subscribing to Performance Measurement.

Research and respond on complex client inquiries pertaining to Accounting statement, ensure responses are appropriate, complete and accurate.

Liaise with Trust Administration and Account Management groups to ensure client accounting statements are clear and concise. 

Track deliverables daily - escalate any issues to management.  Interaction with CSO's and clients on Accounting related items. 

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience)2+ yrs. related accounting experience 2+ related experience in Securities Knowledge of regulatory and guidelines (foreign and domestic) relating to security registration, ownership and transferAble to understand and communicate security restrictions (prospectus review)Excellent analytical skillsSuperior written and verbal communication skillsStrong PC skills, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word, Access is a plusAccounting systems knowledge and/or macros are a plus
