Accounts Payable Associate (2005923)

Position Summary: Prepares invoices, credit memo?s and expenses, types, files balances accounts payable with statements of account from suppliers Uses office automated systems to input data, generate reports, conduct specialized research projects and respond to inquiries. May maintain a complete and systematic set of transactions in a specific phase of accounting. Operates under supervision with regular and thorough review of work in progress. Ability to handle large volumes in a fast paced environment.

Major Job Responsibilities:

60% Either:
Accounts Payable Processing
Enters accounts payable invoices in Oracle,
Enters expense reports in Oracle
Troubleshoot invoices on hold for resolution
OR:
Process payment batches for invoices and expenses

10% Prepare voucher packets for approval.
10% Files and maintains accounting records.
5% Assists in special projects.
5% Copy invoices and expense reports for reimbursable expenses
10% Reclass invoices to appropriate projects

Knowledge/Skills required for the Position: Knowledge and understanding of the Accounts Payable and General Ledger modules. A minimum of 50 wpm keyboarding skills, familiarity with accounting terminology and procedures, including filing accounting records, check processing, data entry and cash applications. Excellent data review and processing skills. PCs, calculator and accounting software. Familiarity of Oracle Software and System applications a plus.

Other Attributes / Soft Skills: Detail oriented, strong Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word skills. Ability to problem-solve. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Education Required:High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Experience Required: 1 18 mos. - 3 years experience
