The successful applicant will be responsible for one or more of the following: research, gather, collect, classify and analyze financial/statistical data; participate in the preparation of reports and related documentation; perform and assist in moderate to complex projects involving the analysis of financial, accounting, performance and/or operating data; research problems/errors in data from financial reporting systems. Analysis and reporting may include areas such as budgeting, forecasting, loan servicing, investments, cash management, etc. You must be able to handle multiple projects and work under tight timelines.

 

Candidate will work in the Financial Analysis & Monitoring Group of the Controller’s Division.  Responsibilities will  focus on maintenance of monthly Hyperion margin report and related schedules in a timely and efficient basis.  Thorough data reconciliation and research are required to ensure data accuracy.  High-level, ad-hoc analytics and in-depth structured  data research will be provided to support the monthly close/reporting process and portfolio margin analysis. 

Analytics will be focused on:
(1) Assemble, compile and analyze information and resolve errors and inconsistencies in data from various systems
(2) Data accuracy of margin related reports and production efficiency
(3) Timely communication with Technology Solutions Group (TSG) service support and management
(4) Database detail research query.
(5) Record maintenance and documentation
 
Candidate will be the margin maintenance owner for the group and serve as the liaison between the group and Corporate Close and TSG business partners. 


Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
2+ years of professional financial analysis, accounting and/or tax experience required
Must be able to prepare regular and special financial statements including (but not limited to) balance sheets, budgets, forecasts, profit and loss statements, and statements of sources and uses of funds.
MS Word, Excel, and Access required. Oracle skills highly desired

Broad understanding of accounting and finance practices, theory and principles of financial analysis.  Financial services and/or banking industries experience a plus. BA/BS in accounting,or finance with IS experience, and 2-3 years of directly related work experience. Advanced Excel, Access, Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase or Business Objects skills highly desired.  Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.  Strong problem solving, organizational, analytical and reasoning skills, with ability to perform well under pressure and handle multiple projects.  Self-motivated, high energy, proven achiever with the ability to get things accomplished.
