Analyst, Project Finance

Job Description: Position summary The successful candidate will be an integral member of the New York based Project Finance Group covering non-recourse finance transactions in the Americas. He/She will become involved in a mix of client facing, modeling and general support work with high visibility and be in a pivotal position for the execution of transactions

Responsibilities


Develop, structure and maintain project cash flow models, assess economic viability of eligible projects


Perform project sensitivity analyses and analyze financing alternatives for selected projects


Perform financial and credit analyses of entities involved in project development (project sponsors)


Participate in due diligence, summarize and analyze project information


Prepare presentations to clients and senior management


Collect, monitor and analyze specific industry data


Assist in the preparation of Information Memoranda and credit applications


Participate in analyzing, structuring and financial closing for selected projects


Travel, as required

Job Experience:
Candidate Specifications:
Undergraduate degree (B.A., B.S. or similar)

1-2 years of demonstrated professional experience. Background as a lender or equity investor in project or structured financings is a plus.

Strong writing and oral presentation skills important, as well as a quantitative aptitude.

Advanced knowledge of Excel, MS Word, Power Point

Ability to work under time pressure and meet tight deadlines

The successful candidate will enjoy working in a team environment yet be able to be completely self-sufficient and self motivated.

Industry knowledge would be an advantage (oil & gas, energy, power and infrastructure)

Fluency in Spanish would be a plus
