Annuities Sales Desk Senior Specialists (Business Development)

Purpose is to recruit I.P.'s into production who are not currently in production with American Skandia.



Proactively soliciting business, incumbents initiate and/or follow up on sales calls; provide intermediaries with sales ideas; answer product questions; provide performance data; identify new sales opportunities; and launch new products. May also provide "external" wholesalers with telephone, administrative, and sales support. Individuals in this position engage in little, if any, travel. Work closely with "external" wholesalers and have a comprehensive knowledge of their assigned territory, investment products, and marketing campaigns.



Proactive telephone contact to prospects and dormant producers.
Coordinated call activity with lists provided by Relationship Management and National Sales Management
Develop strong sales leads for the External and Internal Wholesalers
Must have strong knowledge of the financial services industry
Superior knowledge of the Variable Annuity marketplace
Excellent phone selling & communication skills
Ability to achieve both contact frequency and sales benchmarks consistently
Ability to multitask calling campaigns while building new relationships


Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant industry experience
Series 6, 63, and state of CT life insurance license required
Strong influence and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to be a strong team player
