Equity One, the Retail Division of Popular Financial Holdings, is comprised of a network of consumer and retail branch offices, offering mortgage and financial loan products directly to consumers within branch trade areas.  Product sales originated through our Consumer Branch network are generated through community based marketing, dealer finance contracts, existing customer base and referral business. Consumer offices are conveniently located in local retail centers.  Our Retail Mortgage offices and centralized call center operations are regionalized and source customers through centralized telemarketing, direct mail and Loan Officer generated leads.

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager in our Phoenix, AZ Office.  The Assistant Manager is responsible for providing excellent customer service to present and potential customers, selling Equity One loan products and maintaining account integrity for customers with existing loans.  Primary responsibilities include:

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

?  Participates in all aspects of the branch?s lending operations including completing loan applications, negotiating loan terms, selling insurance, making loan decisions within approval authority and credit recommendations for amounts that exceed the AM?s credit limit.

?  Participates in all aspects of the branch?s account adjustment/collections operations including making telephone collection calls to past due customers, analyzing and offering solutions to customers? financial problems, making personal calls on past due customers, and recommending foreclosure, repossession or legal action when normal collection activities have failed.

?  Makes solicitation calls to PC?s and FC?s. 

?  Coaches other branch staff members to help them make more effective solicitation calls.

?  Makes dealer calls to established dealers to grow the relationship and to new dealers to establish a relationship with Equity One.

?  Supervises branch activities in the absence of the manager.

 

 

  Qualifications:

?  Assists in selection and evaluation of branch employees

?  Other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager

?  Interpersonal skills with effective verbal communications

?  MS Word, computer skills

?  1-2 years previous financial experience; emphasis on mortgage a plus

?   Ability to help past due customers solve financial problems

?  Strong organizational skills a must

?   Obtain or retain state loan origination licensure if applicable.
