Essential Skills
We are seeking an Associate Director/ Director for our Financial Institutions department. Successful candidates for this position must be able to demonstrate skills and experience that will allow for immediate primary coverage of a portfolio of mid-sized to large commercial banks. Primary responsibilities as a lead analyst will include: conducting onsite management review meetings; performing analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors; presenting companies to Fitch's internal credit rating committee; communicating ratings and rating rationale to senior management; and writing and publishing research reports and participating in the evaluation of financial institution credits. Position will also require active role in assisting in related industry studies.

The qualified candidate should have 5+ years of direct experience covering the financial services industry with an emphasis on evaluating commercial banks. Prior positions may include fixed income/equity analyst, counterparty credit analyst or bank examiner. Must be a self-motivated professional with strong credit and spreadsheet analysis skills, have excellent writing and communication skills and the ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously. MBA and/or CFA preferred.
