Associate Manager, Security Operations (Fixed Income Operations Relationship Management)

  Job Description and Responsibilities- The PIM Fixed Income Operations Relationship Management (ORM) team is responsible for building, maintaining and improving relationships with our brokers, custodian banks and key clients. The Associate Manager of the ORM team will work closely with the head of the team and with the Operations production managers to develop strategies for building relationships and monitoring service levels of existing relationships. The individual in this role will not have direct staff supervisory or production management responsibilities but will be expected to provide developmental feedback and direction to members of the Operations management team. They will be expected to participate in projects that affect our brokers, custodian banks and key clients, and will represent PIM Fixed Income Operations on service calls and meetings.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring existing client relationships to ensure that operational needs are being met
Facilitating the resolution of complex issues
Soliciting and delivering performance feedback from/to internal management and clients
Understanding the short-, medium- & long-term objectives of the organizations, to ensure alignment of interests
Communicating significant organizational and operational initiatives/changes to brokers and custodians as may be necessary.
Understanding the day-to-day operational activities of the different organizations
Understanding the range of capabilities offered by PIM Fixed Income, brokers and banks
Scanning the external environment for best practice approaches to service delivery and client value creation
Providing feedback and advice to Operations team on opportunities for improving service
Organizing and hosting regularly scheduled relationship meetings
Partnering with PIM FI Ops management teams to ensure that service metrics are in place
Monitoring PIM FI Ops issues tracking mechanisms to ensure resolution and appropriate escalation where necessary


Job Requirements-


 


Strong knowledge of PIM Fixed Income Operations practices and the fixed income asset management business
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Superior oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to build and enhance relationships
Strong diagnostic skills demonstrated through the ability to develop, analyze and identify trends in reporting metrics
Demonstrated ability to drive and implement change
Strong project management skills
Proven ability to partner across multiple areas and interact with senior levels within organizations
5 to 7 years experience in roles of increasing responsibility within the asset management business
