Position Description:

Overall responsibility for the sales activities and planning for the Touchstone Internal Wholesaler team. The position coordinates sales strategy with outbound sales contacts, company sales initiatives and External Wholesaler sales activities. Independently makes a broad range of decisions, escalating to executive level associates only when appropriate.
? Manages and implements the internal sales strategy and coordinates activities of the Touchstone broker/dealer Sales Desk.
? Researches and analyzes needs of financial advisors by firm to determine appropriate product sales approach for the internal wholesaling staff.
? Ensures that internal wholesaling staff receives appropriate sales training including advanced sales concepts.
? Coaches Internal Wholesalers on maintaining relationships with producing financial advisors, retaining assets and attempting to gain additional investments.
? Recruits, hires, trains and develops staff. Provides direction to and development of associates through daily coaching, the administration of the Performance Management Program, and the creation and implementation of development plans.
? Monitors industry competitive environment and suggests sales ideas, product sales focus and trends.
? Ensures financial advisor contact information in contact management database is maintained by Internal Wholesalers.
? Implements use of a hypothetical tool for use with complex product communications for sales positioning.
? Ensures Internal Wholesaler activities are compliant with applicable regulatory restrictions in their communications.
? Creates product information marketing ideas based on financial advisor need and interest in Touchstone funds.
? Develops and uses sales approaches for sales contact with financial advisors.
? Assists External Wholesalers with research on broker/dealer firm and branch business profiles and firm/branch access history
? Responds to inquiries from financial advisors on technical product and performance issues.
? Applies creative strategies to position Touchstone funds with financial advisor?s list of funds used in client accounts.
? Performs other duties as assigned by management.





Position Requirements:

? Extensive experience within a mutual fund sales organization working on or associated with an outbound fund desk. Experience must include demonstrated success in building relationships with broker/dealer organizations that resulted in increased sales productivity.
? Demonstrated successful experience in selling loaded products within the broker/dealer distribution industry. Must be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of mutual fund products and various sales approaches associated with each.
? Demonstrated experience effectively influencing a group to a recommended course of action. Experience should include making independent recommendations to management with sound justification for implementing the recommendation.
? Demonstrated experience successfully leading and motivating a team to achieve aggressive sales goals. This would include providing direction, coaching and effective feedback to team members.
? Must cite examples of effective time-management and prioritization skills from work performed in demanding environments with heavy volumes and multiple demands.
? Possesses strong problem solving skills to include the identification and resolution of complex problems and development of creative resolutions.
? Must provide examples from work experience of maintaining a high degree of accuracy associated with high volumes of work and/or multiple duties.
? Must be able to cite examples of good decision-making skills when dealing with multiple alternatives.
? Demonstrated superb presentation skills with experience conveying information in a clear, focused and concise manner. Demonstrated use of strong listening and communication techniques and presentation software.
? Proven experience working in a customer-oriented field, effectively articulating complex technical information, via phone/written communications, demonstrating the ability to deliver an adverse response in a positive manner.
? Proven work experience directing others to initiate a recommended course of action to solve a problem or increase efficiency.
? Bachelor?s degree or commensurate selection criteria experience.
? Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
? NASD Series 6 or 7& 63 required.
? NASD Series 24 or 26 within 90 days.
