BUSINESS ANALYST-SENIOR

 

The Principal Financial Group currently has an opportunity available for a Business Analyst-Senior at our location in Des Moines, IA.

 

Responsibilities include providing personnel leadership, direction and execution of the analysis, research, definition of complex systems and process changes, development of business designs, testing, and implementation of solutions to meet business needs.  Additional responsibilities include acting as a liaison between business partners and technical areas.

 

Qualified candidates must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required as well as 6-8 years of related work experience.  Business Analyst certification is preferred. Other required skills include a strong knowledge of business processes, financial service products, and systems.  Candidates must be technically adept and have a high level of proven knowledge and application of Business Analysis and relevant Project Management tools/methodologies. Excellent leadership, verbal/written communication, planning and decision-making skills are needed.  Candidates must he able to demonstrate strong facilitation, interviewing and negotiation skills and shouldpossesses strong analytical, problem-solving and big-picture/conceptual skills. Must have the ability to work with people at all levels, including outside consultants and vendors and be able to influence others without formal authority a must.  Must be able to build and maintain relationships and facilitate collaboration and communication. Candidates must also have have previous personnel leadership experience, and be able to demonstrate the ability to embrace and understand the change process and effectively guides others through change.  Must be able to execute effectively in a matrix management environment.  May be required to provide on-call support.
