Banking Relationship Specialist - Securities Based Lending

?  Serve as main point of contact for the field (MLPF&S Financial Advisors and Client Associates, FA/CA) regarding loan and deposit facilities  

?  Travel to MLPF&S Branches to develop relationships with FA,CA and Office Management Team (OMT) as required

?  Analyze accounts in the portfolio as required

?  Interact with the PLA (Sales) Offices, Portfolio Review, Credit Administration and Operations groups as well as other groups within Merrill Lynch.

?  Review and signoff on loan and deposit documentation

?  Process all funding, repayment and rollover transactions, either manually or Online

?  Preparing and verifying compliance of all collateral releases and swaps in response to ASAP requests.

?  Performing periodic loan reviews as required

?  Assist in curing facilities which are over limit

?  Assist in resolving collateral calls and other violations

?  Contact FA/CA regarding cash reconciliation items and trades within the pledged account

?  Assist Credit Relationship Manager/Supervisor with assigned projectsQualifications:


?  Excellent Client Service skills

?  Sound knowledge of the securities industry and banking products

?  Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with people at all levels

?  Ability to analyze facts and make decisions quickly under pressure and within tight deadlines.

?  Knowledge of Banking and/or Brokerage systems

?  Must be organized, be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

?  Must display a positive, pro-active approach even when under pressure

?  Must be self motivated

Preferred skills and abilities (not requirements) :

?  Series 7 and 66 registered

?  Understanding of credit and lending concepts

?  Spanish Speaking
