Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Project Manager

Major Financial Services Firm located in Midtown Manhattan currently has a need for a Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Project Manager.

Description:

Complete project management of disaster recovery and business continuity plans and processes globally for the whole firm. The Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Project Manager will be responsible for the following:
Monitoring and overseeing all phase-by-phase aspects of implementation of a Hot-site scenario with replication services, dedicated seats and testing/maintenance
Production and maintenance of BC/DR plans, as well providing continuous updates to business units and compliance ? these plans must be fully tested on a quarterly basis and in some cases monthly.
Budgeting and cost monitoring
Scaling DR/BC to suit the business needs
Establishing policies and procedures related to DR/BC
Interacting with senior business partners on a regular basis during and post implementation.
Vendors and service providers management.
Required Experience:

3-5 years Experience of defining, shaping and implementing BC/DR policy and process within a large multi site, managed service environment, global organization
Experience interacting and advising clients on DR policy and negotiating through to desired result.
Proven PM with analysis, implementation, and negotiating skills.
Deep understanding of DR at both technical and business level
Experience of a large multi-site managed service environment
Preferably (not essential) experience of delivering service to the Public Sector or the health sector
In depth risk assessment and solution management skills ? strong problem solver
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within and outside the organization, including senior management and technical teams; good listening and consultative skills
Excellent written and presentation skills, including the ability to clarify and simplify technical aspects to audiences; keen attention to detail
Comfortable working effectively in a rapidly changing environment
