ROLE PURPOSE:
Responsible for developing and maintaining a partnership with Janus? intermediary sales teams to fulfill moderately complex Requests for Proposal (RFP?s) and Requests for Information (RFI?s), 15? reports, monthly and quarterly consultant questionnaires/client due diligence questionnaires and consultant and third party databases for all domestic intermediary business. Provide assistance to existing intermediary team member and support other ad hoc requests as necessary. Provide general client/prospect service to the intermediary sales teams as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
? Regularly interacts with Sales personnel to develop, coordinate and execute strategy in completing various sales/client service support materials on products offered by Janus and its subsidiaries.
? Provides information and data to support business development areas.
? Assists in maintaining and enhancing internal content databases used in responding to RFPs and other sales/client service support materials.
? Coordinates with Portfolio Management, Sales, Marketing, Trading, Legal, Compliance, Tax, Planning and Analysis, Public Relations, Portfolio Analytics, Information Technology and Human Resources to accurately construct detailed responses to new and atypical questions.
? Completes complex RFPs and other materials with some assistance from team members.
? Oversees and completes complex data analysis and prepares response materials.
? Coordinates, completes and oversees specifically assigned tasks such as data gathering, data analysis and preparation of response materials.
? Develops and sustains systematic approach/method of collecting and compiling and creating sales/client service support materials.
? Coordinates and responds to monthly and quarterly requests.
? May own specialized intermediary specific projects as assigned.
OTHER FUNCTIONS: Assumes additional duties as requested or assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
? Knowledge and understanding of investment management business, Janus? products and services, and the institutional/intermediary marketplace.
? Strong project management skills with the ability to work under pressure.
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
? Strong writing and proofreading skills.
? Strong interpersonal and client relations skills.
? Ability to work independently and as part of a group within established guidelines.
? Strong proficiency of MS Word and Excel.
? Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and resourceful
? Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
? Knowledge of RFP/client servicing process.
? Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
? Strong verbal and written communication skills.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
? Two years investment management experience required; preferably in mutual funds or annuities, with an emphasis on intermediary markets.
? Two years relevant communications experience, with a focus on written communication.
? Previous RFP experience preferred but not required.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS:
? Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent, preferably in Finance, English, Journalism or Communications
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
? Overtime may be required on short notice and may include evening, weekend, holiday hours
? Typical office environment with telephone, copier, fax machine, calculator
? PC usage up to 70% of the time
