Business Process Analyst

General Summary:

We are seeking an experienced professional to ensure that process improvement needs are met through research and analysis of business processes and assistance with the development of continuous enterprise wide improvement programs. Services are to be required for the following areas: documenting current business processes, defining and documenting functional requirements for streamlining future processes, conducting data flow analysis, process modeling and measurement studies, preparing operations and procedure manuals. Reviews documents, existing procedures and recommends where automation or processes can be implemented.

 

Major Responsibilities:

Business Process Improvement (80%)Analyze current operations, forecast future impacts, process modeling, data flow analysis, work simplification, design and implement value added process improvements for all departments of the business.

Project Management (20%)Develop and implement strategic initiatives. Clearly define project scope to avoid creeping. Manage resources appropriately and define when we may outsource.Provides statistical reports and recommendations to management.Other responsibilities as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:At least 5 years relational database experience (SQL).  Experience within a financial services environment is a plus.Bachelors? degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience required.Strong report writing skills (using Crystal Reports or equivalent)Excellent systems process development.Strong documentation skills to record and maintain systems and program designs.Experience in effectively working in a cross functional environment interacting with sales, marketing and accounting departments.  Ability to build relationships with internal customers.Reasoning ability and other skills: Requires above-average reasoning ability, intuitiveness and the ability to maintain confidentiality.  Requires excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.  Incumbent must have ability to prioritize work and shift priorities quickly, and to handle multiple assignments and tasks simultaneously.Demonstrates traits consistent with the company culture - drive and perseverance in accomplishing goals; sense of responsibility and integrity; effectiveness as a team member; adaptability to new projects; planning and organizational skills; resourcefulness; energy and motivation to accept and complete tasks; and enthusiasm for the business and their work.Proficiency with all Microsoft office applications.
