C++ Programmer Real Time Market Trading (Hedge Fund)

Global hedge fund client is looking to add a C++ Programmer to their existing team.

 

C++ Programmer ? Real Time Market Trading 

 

 We?re looking to bring in a responsible and creative professional to help realize strategies for real-time high-frequency trading. The work will be focused on the central strategy engine, but may involve other components of the system as well. Because the program will interact directly with vendors to execute trades in a fast moving market, we are looking for individuals that possess the following qualifications

 

-  at least 3 years, preferably 5 years, of experience with C/C++ in the financial industry, preferably supporting trading applications

-  familiar with Java

-  1 year of experience in programming and maintaining systems with low level networking technologies, including routing, TCP, UDP multicast, retransmission

- experience with TIBCO, JMS, and CORBA desired

-  familiar with source control products (CVS and source safe preferred)

-  Strong capabilities in structured programming methodologies and software development lifecycles

-  familiar with all major data structures and algorithms, with enough creativity and experience to deviate from known algorithm for specific optimizations

-  able to quickly read, understand, and modify others? work

-  strong mathematical background

-  knowledge of fixed income securities a plus, but not required

- 4 year degree in math, computer science, or engineering
