C#/VB6 Developer Hedge Fund

Highly successful Manhattan based global hedge fund with over four billion under management seeks extraordinary C# / VB6 developer from top-tier school to work on trading, order management, accounting and reporting systems.

The ideal candidate will have three to five years programming experience, a passion for finance, and the desire and ability to work directly with traders, analysts and accounting staff to identify and formulate technology solutions to meet business requirements and generate revenue for the firm.

We build software on the Windows platform using Visual Studio and VSS with a VB6 legacy base and are migrating to C# based development that is both ASP.NET and Windows forms based. Real-time trading applications currently source data from Bloomberg and static data is stored in SQL 2000/2005.

This is a full-time, direct hire position with a comprehensive benefits package, including: bonus potential, profit sharing, 401(k).

Responsibilities
* Work directly with trading desks, operations and other teams.
* Design, implement and support development in the follow environments:

C# ASP.NET
Windows forms based C# and VB6
VBA Excel plug-ins
Crystal Reports
* Provide on-call and 1st line of client support for applications.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering from top-tier school
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
C# ASP .Net programming [2+ years]
VB6 / Excel VBA programming [2+ years]
SQL programming (SQL Server 2000/2005) [2+ years]
Experience with Bloomberg API a plus
Experience with Crystal Reports a plus
