CDO Analyst

Job Description

 

The CDO Analyst for this growing, entrepreneurial structured finance software company will have overall responsibility for learning to use proprietary software to model fixed income investment structures and interact with investment professionals.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Model/reverse engineer various types of Collateralized Debt Obligation (CDO) deal structures.Develop comprehensive knowledge of structured finance market such as CLOs, CMOs, ABS, MBS, Synthetic and High Yield structures.Interpret legal Indentures.Work with data to prepare import formats and to reconcile model results using Microsoft Excel.Act as the primary client liaison in communicating and or resolving deal structuring and software related questions.Manage the overall client relationship to meet or exceed client expectations.



EducationMinimum Bachelors degree in mathematics, finance or applied sciences.  Masters degree a plus.

 

Experience/Knowledge/AbilitiesKnowledge of fixed income securities/structured finance a strong plus.Must have strong analytical abilities and be able to perform and understand fixed income calculations.Must be a self-starter and have the ability to learn quickly. Experience reading and interpreting legal documents a plus.Ability to problem solve and perform data analysis.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Excellent organization skills.Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.Proficient use of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
