Contracts Administrator

BASIC MISSION Under direction of the Manager of Contracts, conducts the preparation, pricing, negotiation, and administration of major, complex contracts that may involve integrating proposals from subcontractors and other potential vendors; reviews requests for proposals to mitigate risks associated with statements of work, terms and conditions; prepares proposals and progress reports; and reviews proposals for conformity to contract requirements before final proposal is submitted. Serves as primary focus between business operations divisions and customers on contract terminations and close-out activity. Acts as company and contracts administration representative regarding legal requirements, such as OCI issues and non-disclosure agreements, customer specifications and government regulations. Performs other duties as required. ORGANIZATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS Reports to the Manager of Contracts along with other contracts staff. Has signature authority for major, complex contracts as delineated by ANSER policy. The Contracts function is the central focal point for all contracting activity at ANSER, from proposals through ongoing administration to close-out. This position may provide work leadership for lower level employees, and in the absence of the Manager, acts in lieu thereof.
Required Position Experience and Skills? Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field, with 7+ years of experience in government contract administration, including experience in administration of major, complex contracts. ? Ability to integrate functions effectively and interpret complex contractual documents and regulations. ? Ability to plan and organize work effectively, and play a leadership role in a team environment. ? Excellent communications skills, both in writing and orally.
