Corporate Actions Lead Specialist

Position Description: The Operations Specialist II is responsible for performing specialized operational securities processing activities in support of the firm?s business lines.  This would include activities such as; instruction receipt and authentication, entry instruction and verification (dual controls), processing and recording, reporting and acknowledgement, Special Client Handling and reconciliation. These activities would take place within Corporate Actions, Income processing and Research Notification.

Responsibilities:
-Processing transactions timely and accurately
-Verifying information
-Escalating problem items
-Managing daily volume
-Daily balancing of internal processing accounts
-Communicating as part of a team
-Juggling several tasks efficiently despite resource and time constraints
-Communicating professionally and constructively to effectively resolve issues in order to minimize risk and exposure
-Contributing to Management Reporting
-Assist in the training of staff
-Participation in departmental and firm wide initiatives 
-Providing superior client service
-Resolving problems and executing transactions
-Building expertise in specific function within Operations division
-Gaining efficiencies to improve individual productivity
-Gaining an understanding of the big picture ? how specific function impacts the firm
-Contributing to Division or Firm process improvement activities

Qualifications:

-BS/BA or equivalent job experience
-Demonstrated PC skills
-Ability to identify, escalate and resolve a problem
-Ability to communicate professionally through effective verbal and written skills
-Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively
-Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
-Ability to multi-task
-Ability to work in a team environment
-Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
