Credit Risk Analyst II

We are currently looking to hire a Credit Risk Analyst II Summary

 

Supports revenue growth by being creative in recommendations for structuring approvals for new business deals and additional business for existing accounts.  Minimizes losses by evaluating the creditworthiness of the portfolio by obtaining and reviewing company financials in conjunction with its exposure and its revenue, implementing collateral (escrows, letters or credit, bonds, guarantees, UCCs) when necessary.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

 

Determines decline or approval on new business applications and renders decisions for same within appropriate authority level while supporting the company for revenue growth.

Monitors the portfolio of accounts through monthly reports and also obtains timely financials from merchants to evaluate the creditworthiness vs. exposure of merchants.

Reviews and renders decisions on bank changes for merchants, descriptor changes for merchants considering Card Organization rules and regulations.

Conducts conference calls with existing merchants to communicate collateral implementations (reserve, UCC, letter of credit, guarantees), division (additional business added) declines or approval terms and conditions.

Assist other analysts and manager on work out accounts and accounts in bankruptcy.

Conducts conference calls with prospective merchants to assist Sales in understanding the prospective merchant?s business model and company structure.

Performs reserve reviews upon merchant?s request recommended increase, decrease or same reserve terms in place.

Conducts necessary action items (contracts, addenda, reserves, etc.) for mergers and acquisition of existing companies. 

 Job Requirements:

Bachelors degree in business management, finance, accounting, or similar field and at least 2 years experience. Skills/Special Abilities: Knowledge of computer software systems including Word and Excel. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with customer contacts.
