Credit Union Records Specialist

This position will supervise a staff of two and oversees the control, logging, storing, filing, and retrieval of credit union records.  You will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and access to credit union documentation.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

 Understands record retention requirementsOperates scanning equipmentSets and modifies scan formats for different document typesAnalyzes and sorts record types and preps documentsBatches, scans, and indexes documentsAudits documents for accuracy and quality controlTracks documents in the records retention system and maintains the overall record management for the credit unionSupervises the records staff and monitors work production/performanceConsults with operations departments to define document types and to streamline document handlingRecommends and implements improvements to the record retention systemTrains inter-departmental operations staff on procedures and changes to the records maintenance systemSupports facilities management when required

 

Position Requirements:

 High school diplomaThree to five years of related experience with a financial services institutionStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to use good judgment in making business decisionsBilingual (Spanish) a plusFamiliar with banking and lending terminologyComputer literate
