Credit and Collections

Skills/Qualifications:

Knowledge of the Construction Industry and Lien Laws, Basic Computer Skills including Excel, Well Organized, People Skills, Financial Skills, Legal Compliance, Analyzing Information, Negotiation, Informing Others, Verbal Communication


 

Duties:

* Collects delinquent accounts by locating and notifying customers with delinquent accounts; establishing repayment schedules through contacts with customers.

 

* Processes new credit applications and makes recommendations to management.

 

* Responsible for accounts receivable duties including applying payments, credits, daily balancing, etc...

 

* Maintains collection guidelines by writing and updating collection policies and procedures.

* Prepares collection reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.


 

* Prevents losses by notifying management of risks.

* Maintains historical records by ensuring that documents are completed and filed according to policy and procedure.


* Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping collection information confidential.



* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.


* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
