Daily Compliance Manager
EMJAY Corporation, a Great-West Company, is looking for an energetic, results-driven Daily Assistant Manager to join our growing team.
This position will be responsible for managing a compliance team ensuring complete customer satisfaction and providing strong leadership, direction, and motivation to staff by establishing and communicating goals/objectives in order to meet business plan targets. Responsibilities of the team include: completing plan compliance testing, reviewing plans for IRS compliance, preparing IRS Form 5500s, and consulting with internal and external clients on plan issues.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Manage institutional relationships/partnerships ensuring client expectations are met and all compliance services relating to the institution are delivered within the prescribed time standards. This will entail ensuring on-going training for new and current compliance staff members for updates with current laws and regulations surrounding plan compliance.
* Liaison with other internal management groups to collaborate and determine workflows, product offerings, and service delivery models for maintaining a successful institutional partnership.
* Coach, train, counsel staff as needed, and conduct staff meetings to update analysts on new additions, changes in policies/procedures, communicate department and teams performance, and obtain suggestions and feedback on potential workflow improvements.
* Consult with additional internal/external clients regarding any high level plan design, such as controlled groups, combined coverage and testing requirements, effects of unequal benefits, rights and features, mergers etc, as they relate to plan documents, discrimination testing, Form 5500 filing.
* Special compliance/institutional projects as assigned
* Provide personnel feedback, employee evaluation, handle personnel issues, and conduct employee interviews as necessary
Qualifications:
* College Degree or equivalent work experience
* At least 5+ years non-discrimination testing, IRS Form 5500, and overall retirement industry knowledge
* Proven operations management experience
* Must be client service oriented
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Develop, customize, and deliver compliance training as appropriate
* Excellent problem solving skills
* Manage multiple tasks and set priorities
* QPA, APA designation preferred
