Data Warehouse Architect

Vaco Technology's Richmond office is seeking an experienced Data Warehousing Architect for one of our many central Virginia clients. This client is located in Fredericksburg, VA, just 40 minutes commute from the West End of Richmond. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team delivering complex business solutions.

This is a CONTRACT-TO-HIRE opportunity with a large financial industry client.

Data Architect:

The role of Data Architect is that of a change agent. This role is accountable for introducing, communicating, and training the organization in the meaning and use of data components.

This role is accountable for the definition and use of the data components and disciplines governing the purpose, accessibility, and use of data within the data warehouse components. This role is also accountable for the physical design of the data structures required to satisfied the analytical and operational reporting.

Require skills and competencies:
" Ability to communicate through documentation, formal presentations, and ad hoc discussions with both technical and business representatives.
" Ability to compile data and information to develop a cohesive strategy for resolving issues or mitigating risks.
" Ability to over come obstacles and drive towards results.
" Ability to plan the implementation of designs and direct the activities of projects.
" Strong understanding of the physical database design tools and disciplines.
" Strong understanding of data movement tools and disciplines.
" Strong understanding of business intelligence tools and disciplines.
