Def Contr/Benefit Assoc

Responsible for providing Defined Benefit outsourcing services for $5 billon client. A multi-functioning role that interacts with plan participant's and client's staff in a fast paced, challenging environment. Job responsibilities include the following:

Provides a variety of standard and non-standard benefit services for plan participants and plan sponsor which includes the calcuation of retirement benefits, providing explanations of the various components of the calculations and available benefit options as well as plan parameters.
Researches complex data or information in order to draw accurate conclusions and present viable options or solutions in a timely manner.
Applies knowledge of plan provisions and regulations to day to day operations.
Processes annuity and lump sum payments.
Processes changes and updates to retiree accounts.
Communciate key information in response to inquiries and requests from plan participants and plan sponsor via telephone, e-mail, or letters.
Works on various projects as needed.


 


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


We require someone with direct experience in DEFINED BENEFITS.


 


College degree or equivalent of Defined Benefit work experience.
Solid communication skills.
Customer service orientation.
Ability to work in a senstive, client focused environment.
Strong math aptitude.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to handle inquiries and requests in a confidential and professional manner.
Ability to multi-task.

The position has responsibilities which include the processing of wire transfers. In accordance with the Treasurer's Policy "Background Screenings on Wire Transfer Associates," any candidate selected for this position will be required to submit to an extensive background screening and a credit check. Failure to comply will eliminate a candidate from consideration for this position.
