Default Correspondence Specialist

SUMMARY
Responsible for preparing written responses to requests received from via Correspondence Tracking, Email and/or internal customers. Further duties include the collection of data and research of account histories. Provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers. Accurately maintains all related documents or data base information.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
? Strong written communication skills are essential.
? Ability to draw accurate analytical conclusions and implement solutions to resolve problems from the analysis of financial data, corporate documents, account histories and other relevant account transactions.
? Thorough knowledge of RESPA, FDCPA, FCRA and other applicable federal and/or state statutory requirements with the ability to identify possible compliance violations.
? Other duties as assigned.

? Ability to work efficiently in a multi-tasked environment.
? Knowledge of and adherence to the FCRA guidelines.
? Knowledge of and adherence to the FDCPA guidelines.
? Knowledge of and adherence to RESPA guidelines.
? Typing of at least 40 wpm.
? Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and Word.
? Ability to draw accurate analytical conclusions and implement solutions to resolve problems from the analysis of financial data, corporate documents, account histories and other relevant account transactions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
? High school diploma (or its equivalent) is required. College degree (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
? Previous experience in a mortgage banking or related financial institution dealing with residential mortgage loans is preferred.
? Excellent skills in MS Office ? particularly Word, Excel and Access.
? Must be able to type 45 words per minute.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
? Bilingual (English and Spanish) considered a plus.
