Desktop Support / Field Service Technician

Spherion was founded in 1946, and currently has over 735 locations nationwide. Our client base includes 85% of the Fortune 100 Companies. This is a 6 + month contract (with a possible hire) job opportunity with our client who is located in Irvine, CA.

 

Education/Experience

Three (3) to five (5) years experience performing such duties as service desk support, end-user computing, desktop software installations and configurations.  Current hands on experience with Windows 2000 and Windows XP.  Hands on experience with Wyse Winterms and Citrix is a plus, as well as experience with software distribution and remove access software.

 

Relative Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

1.  Strong technical skills with desktop hardware and software configurations.

 

2.  Basic understanding of a LAN and WAN environment including knowledge of file servers, network operating systems, and basic network functions including remote access, file sharing, and network printing.

 

3.  Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with associates at various levels.  Strong customer service skills are required.

 

4.  Must be a self-starter and be able to quickly analyze and prioritize assignments.

 

5.  Good oral communication skills.

 

6.  Good organizational skills.

 

7.  Strong business related personal computer skills, i.e., Windows, Word, Excel, etc.

 MUST HAVE CLEAN DRIVING record and own transportation, company will pay for mileage expense.
