Director - Investment Information Services

Position Overview

The primary responsibility for this job is to be a leader and consultant for the firm?s Investment Information Services that provides tools, education and analyses in support of the investment decision-making process for our 1800 advisors throughout the country. 

 



Position Requirements

?  Bachelor?s degree with major focusing on accounting, finance, or a related area (MBA preferred)

?  7+ years previous work experience in the financial industry required

?  Series 7, 24 & 66 licenses required within 9 months of hire

?  CFA, CPA, or CFP strongly preferred

?  Ability to be at work on a regular basis

?  Ability to communicate with co-workers, customers, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner

?  Ability to maintain confidentiality

?  Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks

?  Ability to pay close attention to detail, work under pressure and meet deadlines

?  Ability to plan and implement organizational and department goals.

?  Ability to review and revise processes and procedures

?  Ability to travel (approximately 10% - 15% of time)

?  Knowledge of and belief in Quality Improvement Process

?  Knowledge of SAI and SAA programs, systems and procedures

?  Skill in analyzing financial data and interpreting information

?  Skill in operating various office equipment such as a personal computer and various software packages (i.e. Microsoft Office, Outlook, Advisor Channel)

?  Excellent skills in verbal and written communicationJob Duties/Tasks

This position is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

1.  Formulate through quantitative analyses, the monthly Recommended Mutual Fund List and Selected Premier Funds List and other investment recommendations.

2.  Develop, publish and market the quarterly asset allocation model portfolios.

3.  Develop, publish and market the E/A Portfolios.

4.  Research, write, and distribute monthly commentary covering the most recent events in the economic environment for advisors and their clients.  

5.  Determine white paper topics, research, write and distribute.

6.  Participate in determining wealth management strategies for high net worth clients.

7.  Speak at conferences as well as industry conferences.

8.  Act as spokesperson for company on investment related media calls and requests. 

9.  Develop training presentations to help advisors make wiser investment selection.

10.  Lead and participate in monthly investment management conference calls with Company Advisors, Reps, product sponsors, and industry experts.

11.  Develop and implement new tools and integrated services to support Advisors and Reps in the investment management decision-making process.

12.  Perform due diligence of investment products recommended for inclusion on Securities America?s approved product list.

13.  Develop and deliver presentations to current and prospective Advisors and Reps.

14.  Provide support on Asset Allocation/Financial Planning Software applications within the e-office advantage internet portal.

15.  Prepare various reports for senior management team and participate in projects as assigned.

16.  Work with third party research related vendors to support our advisors.
