Business & Marketing Development

Executive Financial Services Department

 

 

The Executive Financial Services (EFS) department of Smith Barney is responsible for three things:  (1) approval of all restricted and control transactions executed on behalf of Smith Barney clients,  (2) approval of all 10b5-1 contracts, and (3) approval of control and restricted stock when used as collateral for loans.  The department consists of 38 professionals, including lawyers, paralegals, assistants, and a business manager.

 

 Responsibilities:

 The EFS Sales Director will be responsible principally for calling on the corporate clients of SB in conjunction with EFS, Private Wealth Management & Corport Client Group Directors, in order to familiarize such clients with the expertise and executive capability of EFS, including the Corporate Officer Product.  Secondarily, this person will be responsible for calling on major law firms, publishing, speaking, and generally raising the profile of EFS.  Finally, this person will be responsible for providing feedback to EFS management regarding the market place, competitive changes, best practices, etc.



Qualifications:

 Specific experience is required in this field as well as a legal educational background. Must possess excellent interpersonal and client service skills as well as have the ability to work closely and confidently with many different levels of management on the business side.
