ING is seeking highly motivated individuals for the position of Defined Contribution Enrollment Specialist.  Through the work of our respected financial professionals, ING looks to build long-term relationships to help our clients reach personal and financial goals.  Our full range of investment products allows you, as a Financial Advisor, the opportunity to provide the most options to your customers to meet their Retirement Goals.

Position Description:

The Enrollment Specialist / Financial Advisor will work with the local Management team to conduct educational meetings, increase plan participation, and provide retirement education for a governmental defined contribution retirement plan.

 

Fundamental Components

 

? Responsible for the enrollment of new plan participants, increasing contributions from existing participants, and overall retirement education of plan participants.

? Using Model Portfolios, assist participants in assessing their risk tolerance and investment selections.

? Participate in local association meetings, benefits fairs and other marketing opportunities.

? Maintain required registrations, state licenses and continuing education modules for Company, State, and NASD.

 

Qualifications

 

? Solid understanding of Financial Services Industry and Capital Markets

? Defined Contribution retirement plan knowledge; specifically 457(b) Deferred Compensation and 401(k) plans

? Strong analytical abilities

? Entrepreneurial perspective and enthusiasm for learning

? Interacts effectively both in a group and in one-on-one meetings.

? Maintains a positive, achievement oriented attitude and influences others to do the same.

? Develops/supports a team environment which encourages the sharing of sales ideas and product knowledge.

 

Required Skills and Experience

? Must have at least 2 years prior financial services/sales experience

? Some College (Four Year College Degree Preferred)

? NASD Series 6 or 7, Series 63 or 66; and California state insurance license.

? Proficient in Microsoft Office

? Ability to travel within San Bernardino County
