Enterprise Business Analyst

Responsibilities include:

 

? Engaging the finance and other user communities to identify and document business requirements & processes, and implement solutions to meet those needs.

? Key liaison to bridge the gap between IT and Finance.  Full project life cycle management of complex and diverse Finance initiatives.

? Lead or provide assistance in identifying opportunities, evaluating alternatives, and performing process re-engineering and/or automation of various finance functions in order to streamline processes and capitalize on best practices.

? Communicate with both business and technology partners and help drive strategic change.

? Conduct detailed business analytics equipping business partners with decision-making data and information.

? Assist business units with identifying opportunities for procedural, system, and product enhancements.

 

Requirements:

 

? 4-year degree required in Business, Finance or related field.  MBA preferred.

? Must possess at least 2-3 years of relevant experience.

? Excellent communication skills and have the ability to effectively interpret and model business needs and requirements from both a business and technical perspective.  Experience with UML and Data Modeling a plus.

?Experience with experience in the areas of Profitability Models, General Ledger, Budgeting/Forecasting, Revenue and Expense Assessment, Allocations, Profit Centers, and Product Hierarchies. Familiarity with data flow diagrams, ERDs, process flow diagrams, event-dependency diagrams, data models, etc. 

? Prior experience with financial management reporting desired.  Hands-on experience with end user reporting tools a plus.

? Knowledge of the mutual fund industry a plus.

? Strong presentation, negotiation and project management skills

? Effectively communicate project status, negotiate deadlines, document requirements,

? discuss technical and business proposals

? Demonstrate ability to provide solutions and follow through on tasks associated with resolving issues

? Strong project management and prioritization skills with the ability to multi-task on varying projects and initiatives.

? Ability to work in a dynamic team environment

? Knowledge of Essbase, Cognos, SAP/BW, and Sybase a plus.

? Consulting background a plus.
