Equity Analyst Position

Advanced Equities, Inc. is a Chicago based investment bank providing late-stage private equity financing to emerging technology companies. We believe that today?s opportunities for high-growth investments lie in late-stage private equity. This is because indexed, exchange-traded equities rarely generate significant near-term returns and going ?public? requires higher valuations due to regulatory constraints and market expectations. Therefore, today?s organizations are gaining critical mass before entering the public domain, pushing high-growth opportunities to the final rounds of private equity funding. This ?gap? between venture money and the public markets is bridged by Advanced Equities, Inc.  Putting our theory into practice, we have raised over $350 million for such leading companies as Alien Technology Corp., Good Technology, Inc., Force 10 Networks, Inc, and Infinera Corp.

 

We seek two equity analysts for our research department.  We are looking for one software analyst and one hardware analyst to provide research to our venture funds, private client group and investment-banking group.

 

Requirements:Minimum 2 years experience in the role of software or hardware equity analyst Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel & Word) Works well independently and in group situations Progress toward CFA preferred, but not required
