Equity Investment Operations Specialist

CITY: Stamford STATE: Connecticut COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Equity investment operations department is seeking individuals to support traders and portfolio managers in daily trade processing and settlement. Position involves work during US and Pacific Rim (working with night traders) trading hours. Daily interaction with executing brokers, custodians and finance teams.
Responsibilities include:
* Communicate with broker/dealers to confirm domestic & international equity trades and ensure accurate & timely settlement
* Interact with custody, finance, accounting & technology teams for reconciliation, settlements, issue resolution and process improvements
* Provide support for trading, portfolio management & clients
* Participate in cross-functional improvement projects

Qualifications/Requirements:
* BA/BS degree or high school diploma plus 4 years of work experience
* Proven self-starter
* Ability to prioritize tasks and works well under pressure of daily deadlines
* Ability to work in team environment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Proven computer skills
* Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
