Escrow Administration Insurance  Supervisor

 

Major Purpose of this Position:



This position is responsible for the supervision of the Hazard Insurance, Mortgage Insurance and Escrow Analysis Departments. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the timely processing of  residential insurance, mortgage insurance payments to prevent uninsured properties and escrow analysis while maintaining the day to day relationships with the insurance outsource partner. Supervise the productivity and performance levels for staff. 

 

Specific Results Expected From Position:

 

  *Provide quality service to internal and external customers and to instill a customer service orientation amongst the staff.

 

  *Motivate employees to perform at their top levels and to encourage their growth and development through effective guidance, training, and performance appraisals.

 

  *Work closely with staff to motivate everyone in the same direction, standardize procedures to assure peak efficiency levels while focusing on production, quality, customer service and the bottom line.

 

*Set policy and procedures to prevent losses. Work with branch operations and settlement to set policy for new originations to follow regarding escrow items.

 

  *Ensure compliance with Investor /Agency /Vendor servicing requirements.

 

  *Accurately monitor the outsource partners to ensure all escrow and non escrow  insurance items for the entire portfolio are paid prior to the due dates.

 

  *Monitor corporate advances issued to repay the escrow accounts.

 

  *Assist manager in preparation of the annual financial budget and operate within its parameters.

 

  *Review, organize, and change existing procedures and guidelines as necessary.

 

  *Develop and maintain a good working relationship with outsource partners.

 

  *Conduct regular departmental meetings to maintain an atmosphere of team work and to provide a forum for employees to voice problems that need resolution or to present ideas that will improve processing and work flow.

 

  *Provide adequate cross training for all employees to ensure continuous workflow.

 

  *Manage special projects as assigned by manager ensuring accuracy of data and  deadlines are met.

 

  *Provide various statistical reports to assist manager in determining proper allocation of resources and timeliness and accuracy of processing.

 

Requirements of the Position:

 

Education

- High School Education or Equivalent

  -Preferred Bachelors degree or equivalent continuation of education and related supervisory experience in a Mortgage Servicing environment.

  Previous Experience

  -Minimum of two years experience in mortgage servicing FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, Ginnie Mae and Private Investors.

 

  -Previous Mortgage Document loan experience.

 

  -Previous Mail Room Operations experience

 

  -Previous Supervisory experience.

 

  Skills, knowledge, professional requirements such as licenses, etc.

-Knowledge of FHA, VA, Fannie Mae and Private Investor servicing requirements

  -Knowledge of Loan Type, Investor, State and Federal requirements and regulations

  -Strong interpersonal/human relations skills

  Ability to supervise others with emphases on productivity, teamwork and quality

  -Good organizational abilities in areas of time management

-Self management and distribution of work load

-Strong customer service skills
