Estimator

GM Nameplate, an award winning custom manufacturing company, is seeking an Estimator to join our San Jose Division. This position will complete computer job estimates of request for submitted quotations, which require manufacturing process sequence planning and best sheet layout based upon order quantity. Other responsibilities of this position will include modifying quotes for changes made by the customer or the plant, review bad cost outs and daily margin reports, review and update manufacturing standards, create new master quotes and new stations and complete special projects as directed by the Division President.

 

Ideal candidates will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively handle change, prioritize and oversee multiple projects and tight deadlines, and must demonstrate strong database and Excel spreadsheet capabilities.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

? Previous estimating skills and/or experience

? Previous hands-on experience working in a manufacturing environment

? Strong mechanical aptitude, problem solving, logic and reasoning skills

? Excellent math skills

? Strong conceptual perception of manufacturing techniques

? Previous experience in using customized computer programs

? Prior customer service experience

? Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering and/or Engineering, Finance or Printing Industry experience
