Responsibilities

The Exchange Engineer is responsible for the overall integration of the Exchange 2003 and Active Directory implementation, including planning, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination.

???????? Evaluate, design, install, and maintain existing or proposed Exchange and Active Directory implementation.

???????? Evaluate, design, and implement anti-virus, spam, and other messaging security solutions.

???????? Evaluate, design, and implement monitoring solutions to ensure high availability and stability.

???????? Evaluate new messaging technologies and present business justification documentation to management which may result in the purchase and installation of the equipment or software.

???????? Support 300+ users on multiple Exchange servers in multiple domains.

???????? Create, modify, and delete Exchange accounts and distribution lists.

???????? Troubleshoot and resolve complex mail routing and DNS issues throughout the enterprise.

???????? Monitor Exchange servers for successful backup jobs and antivirus updates.

???????? Coordinate and/or install network hardware.

???????? Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the Active Directory environment.

???????? Design and implement Active Directory group polices.

???????? Respond to system vulnerabilities and perform necessary software installations, upgrades and patches.

???????? Analyze system logs and security monitoring tools for security and policy breaches.

???????? Work with our applications development team to define support processes for future application servers, and ensure secure/stable installation of the OS.

???????? Create and maintain documentation for current hardware and software configurations, as well as proposed future installations and modifications to current environment.

???????? After hour?s responsibilities including cell phone coverage, application upgrades, and support of Production environments.

???????? Create and maintain systems and procedural documentation.

Requirements:

???????? 5-7 years of related experience designing, maintaining, and monitoring Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange environments.

???????? Microsoft MCSE certification is required.

???????? B.S. Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline is preferred.

???????? Must be available to travel both domestically and abroad for maintenance visits and project roll outs.

???????? Available to occasionally work evenings or weekends for large-scale or high-priority projects.

???????? Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

???????? Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.

???????? Ability to work independently and autonomously, and as part of a coordinated team.

???????? Strong, task-oriented work ethic.
