Regional Wholesaler: Job Description & Expectations

 

I. Summary of Responsibilities

 

The Vice President of Sales (Western Region), reporting to the Senior Vice President of Retail Distribution, is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales goals within assigned territory. Ensure education, training and sales of XTF?s financial products and services. This position helps meet client needs through training of Registered Representatives/Financial Advisors of all assigned Broker/Dealers and RIAs on features and benefits of the suite of XTF products. Involves securing new producers and maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing producers.

 Creates monitors and executes annual territory business plan to achieve territory goals.Schedule and complete a run of 16 face to face sales calls per week with qualified reps within the independent NASD firms and RIAs.Understanding of the Financial Services Industry and underlying suite of products.Help create and develop new sales ideas and initiatives (i.e. ?Thinking Outside the Box?)Oversees, guides, and leads the sales efforts of the Internal Sales Manager (Internal Wholesaler).Effective presentation skills in order to deliver information to clients and prospects in multiple mediums and settings.Plans and allocates territory travel and expense budget to maximize results, as extensive travel within territory is required.

 

II.  Selection Criteria

 Proven 2+ or more years experience wholesaling equity products to the Independent Broker /Dealer and Fee Based Advisor market.Posses and displays excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently or in a team environment on various projects such as sales campaigns, marketing presentations, client events, etc. Must be able to demonstrate a consistent history of successful sales.Exhibit strong initiative required to interface with clients and prospects on a daily bases.Ability to employ a consultative approach with clients by understanding client needs and suggesting appropriate solutions.Responsible for timely submittal of Travel and Expense reports. Existing financial advisor/RIA contacts essential.4 year college degree.Clean compliance background.NASD Series 65, 63, 7 license required.
