Collegiate Development Services is a growing company providing real estate development, finance, construction, management and consulting services directly to the higher education industry and also to equity investors interested in real estate investments in close proximity to higher education facilities.
CDS wishes to recruit a Financial Analyst to be based in the Irving, Texas corporate office. The Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of supporting analysis and underwriting of potential real estate investment and development opportunities. The Analyst will be a part of and support the Financial Services group within CDS.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support deal pursuit, analysis and underwriting with financial modeling including screening potential deals according to feasibility criteria, supporting company responses to competitive bid solicitations, performing due diligence functions, and interface with financial service providers.Research and analysis of specific real estate markets in conjunction with potential development or investment opportunitiesBecome familiar with nuances of financing properties in higher education niche real estate market including the use of tax-exempt bond financingMay require light amounts of travel nationwide
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Commitment to the highest ethical standardsUndergraduate degree in business or economics (masters preferred)Some experience preferredExcellent MS Excel skills and proficiency with other MS Office applicationsQuantitative analytical background including financial analysisUnderstanding of market research dataInterest in real estate investment/asset management as a career pathExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work in a team environmentDesire to join a small, fast growing company with advancement opportunities
COMPENSATION:
Total compensation will be based on the experience, skills, qualifications and capabilities of the candidate. CDS offers a comprehensive benefits package with medical and dental insurance as well as a 401K plan.
