Financial Analyst - Private Equity

CITY: Stamford STATE: Connecticut COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Perform accounting, financial analysis, client reporting and support functions for GE Pension Trust - Private Equity portfolio which includes direct deals, limited partnership and hedge fund investments - domestic and international
* Accounting responsibilities include journal entries, closing activities, monthly and quarterly P&L, fx hedge monitoring and financial statement preparation
* Financial analysis includes performance calculations at the Trust, Portfolio and Investment levels, ad-hoc analysis for portfolio managers and support for various presentations prepared by the Private Equity Team
* Initiation of cash transactions and physical security movements, involving custody bank interaction
* High interaction across all areas including portfolio managers, legal, tax, trading and trade support, auditors and risk/compliance



Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelors degree or high school diploma plus four years working experience
* Well organized and detail-oriented
* Strong work ethic and commitment
* Excellent analytical skills
* Strong PC skills - proficiency in Excel a must
* Possess business acumen and ability to resolve and communicate key issues to all levels


Desired:
* MBA, FMP, GE Corporate Audit Staff
* 2+ years accounting/finance experience
* Understanding of international finance/foreign exchange hedging
