Financial Planner and Investment Advisor

Job Purpose:

 

Assist clients and principals of a growing investment advisory and planning firm by evaluating client financial information, developing and presenting strategies to accomplish goals and monitoring/reporting on changes and recommended actions.

 

Duties:

 

*  Assess client financial situation by gathering information regarding investments, asset allocation, retirement planning, risk tolerance and long term goals.

 

*  Utilize planning software to develop models, prepare financial status analyses and reports.

 

*  Evaluate and recommend diversification strategies; asset allocations to accomplish goals; research investment options and products for implementation (mutual funds, etc); prepare correspondence for client communication.

 

*  Resolve client issues by providing information and explanations for recommendations; respond to client inquiries and requests for information.

 

*  Update job knowledge by tracking financial markets, general economic conditions and new financial products and investment management services; participate in ongoing educational opportunities; read professional and technical publications; maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations.

 

*  Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership and resolving new requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments; candidate must be energetic, efficient, organized and self motivated.

 

*  Must be fluent in the Microsoft office suite (word/outlook) and Excel and have a Series 7 license.
