Financial Representative - Brokerage Operations

Job Description: PRIMARY PURPOSE Responsible for maintaining contact with Brokerage and Brokerage Advantage customers regarding day-to-day account and market activity. Supports the customer relationship by entering real-time stock, option, mutual fund and bond trade requests, submitting customer service and maintenance requests, and researching any account related inquiries and/or problems.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

* Transact equity, options, fixed income and mutual fund trades. Completes related activities such as accurately and quickly determining funds available, from complex margin to day trading calculations, to determining funds necessary to settle customer transactions.

* Responds to inquiries from potential investors and customers regarding market and investment related activities. This includes providing quotations and news on individual securities as well as information on mutual fund yields, prices, performance and current economic conditions impacting investments. This includes both TRP and non-TRP funds. Identify and solve customer account problems; provide appropriate follow-up with customers and continue to rebuild this relationship. In addition, assist internet customers with their service questions and computer problems. Discuss the
characteristics and legal requirements of Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) including contribution limits, distributions and tax reporting. Responds to tax issues related to various securities. Understands and adheres to T. Rowe Price Code of Ethics as well as department policies and procedures.

* Supports and Interacts with other TRP department and sites as it relates to the business, also work with our external service providers.

QUALIFICATIONS

* College degree preferred
* Series 7 and 63 license or take test within first 60 days of hire preferred
* 1 year of relevant industry experience preferred
* Exceeds standards in overall job performance preferred
* Ability to show sustained calm and confidence in the face of difficult issues; demonstrates resilience and is able to manage resistance to proposed action preferred.
* Ability to assess a situation and identify patterns or trends recognized from a series of previous experiences preferred.
* Sustained ability to exceed customer expectations over time preferred.
