Financial Services Professional - Portfolio Administrator

Our client, a North Shore financial services company specializing in financial consulting and investment management for high net-worth individuals and families, is seeking a Portfolio Administrator to join their Operations Team.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as a high degree of organizational, analytical, and decision making abilities. This candidate will be extremely detail oriented and able to maintain multiple activities while managing competing priorities. This position requires a high degree of customer service orientation and the ability to interact with clients and vendors in a competent, professional manner.

Responsibilities:
This person is responsible for the daily operational tasks associated with a Broker/Dealer and Investment Advisory/Financial Planning firm. This includes establishing new accounts, trading, coordinating client distributions and other client special requests.

The person in this position also actively participates as a team member in working with clients and in numerous projects that benefit the operations of the Broker/Dealer and the affiliated Investment Advisory/Financial Planning firm. These projects include client quarterly statement generation, maintaining an electronic filing cabinet (?paperless office?) system, keeping the procedures manual current, and other projects that may arise.

Knowledge And Skills Requirements:
1. The ability to coordinate multiple activities at once.
2. Prior experience in the financial services field and/or brokerage operations including the use of Beta Systems.
3. Attention to details.
4. Strong interpersonal skills ? Must be able to work in a team environment, supervise tasks to completion and interface and communicate with clients and other professionals in a calm and professional manner.
5. Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn as you go. Applications include:
? Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
? Adobe Acrobat (full version)
? Advent?s AXYS and Qube
? Experience in Worldox, Attach Plus, and Virtuoso desirable.
6. The ability to calmly handle clients, assuring them that they are being heard without patronizing or offending them.
7. Series 7 securities license
