Fund Analyst

Your job will be to complete daily and monthly fund accounting review of a set of Alternative Asset funds including hedge funds, fund of funds and private equity funds. The funds are comprised of registered funds under the 1940 act as well as non-registered funds. You will be responsible for working with and overseeing multiple independent administrators in order to ensure the fund's books and records are accurate. Your daily responsibilities will include
reviewing the portfolio valuation report, cash reconciliations, custody reconciliations, commission reports, daily return, and in certain cases preparation of performance estimates. Your monthly responsibilities will include reviewing the month-end books and records/closing packages for a asset of funds and reviewing cash reconciliations, custody reconciliations, portfolio pricing, management fees, incentive allocations, trail commissions, partner's capital allocations, and net asset value report, month to date return and YTD performance returns for the funds and partners. You will produce monthly performance reports and maintain the performance database, you will handle ad-hoc reporting requests as well as research or provide information to the Financial Advisor pertaining to client queries. Your quarterly/semi-annual/annual responsibilities will include reviewing the quarterly closing packages for the board of directors, which includes quarterly financial statements, financial highlights, schedule of investments, report of the administrator and the board of performance report. You will review semi-annual and annual audited financial statements. You will review SEC forms, NSAR, NQ and Form N-2 updates, and tax reporting including Schedule K-1 estimates and final s as well as Form 1065.

Basic Qualifications
You are a college graduate with an accounting or finance concentration. You will have at least 2 to 4 years of public to private experience in hedge fund or private equity fund accounting. You have prior knowledge of using databases in Access or Sequel. You have excellent communication, Excel, and analytical skills. You are a team-player and a self-starter. You have the ability to multi-task and work under pressure and deadlines. You have the flexibility to work long hours when necessary.
