Job Description:
This position will report directly to the Chief Risk Officer and is charged with the implementation and oversignt of the MFS Investment Management records management program.
As a Vice President responsible for leading, implementing and maintaining a centrally managed enterprise records management program, principal responsibilities include the following. Develop, Maintain Records Management Programs - in collaboration with the legal department and the various MFS business units, develop, communicate, and maintain Corporate policies and programs directed at the management of records. Programs will include developing processes and systems to support the records management lifecycle, adherence to applicable rules and regulations, training and development, litigation hold, and discovery response. Assess Program Compliance with Risk Programs - provide MFS Management with assessments of adherence to, and effectiveness of, those records management policies and programs. Leadership - provide leadership, direction and vision for the records management program within MFS, including advising and ensuring that the records management programs are appropriate to the span of business and regulatory risk. Support required change management as new programs, policies and standards are implemented. Responsible for enterprise awareness of the firm's records management policies and standards. Business Support - provide support to the business units in the development and implementation of specific records management solutions. Business Continuity - provide support to business continuity planning for MFS.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree minimum, preferably with a concentration in Business Administration, or a related concentration. MBA preferred. Minimum of 10 years of industry experience, a diversity of experience preferred including transfer agent, broker dealer, investment management and regulatory environments. Minimum of 5 years of records management, information management and process analysis experience preferred. Records management (CRM) credentials preferred. Experience with federal securities laws and compliance programs. Must have experience managing employees and managing across large organizations. Very strong ability to influence and work with employees beyond the direct department. Strong communication and teaching skills. Must have an executive bearing, ability to work independently with and communicate complex concepts to Senior Executives. Ability to present to MFS Boards and regulators. Proven ability to develop solutions, build consensus, and manage change.
