HR Technology Administrator

Vanguard, one of the world's largest investment management companies, has a wide-ranging opportunity for a Business Technical Administrator, whose key responsibility is to evaluate and support technology initiatives for assigned Human Resources (HR) applications and related databases.

Technology projects you'll work on will include: requirements definition, scope development, project coordination, technical and user documentation, and coordinating acceptance testing efforts. You'll write and present status reports to management and other interested parties, and recommend projects that will enhance HR functionality.

You'll maintain and troubleshoot HR applications and work closely with key internal IT areas and/or vendors to resolve issues.

You'll be expected to maintain detailed knowledge of HR databases and to apply current best practices on all projects. You should also ensure that projects adhere to schedules and budget, and that high quality standards are maintained. You'll support HR Information Systems dashboards and Vanguard Unmatchable Excellence initiatives. You'll also participate in and perform other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.  
-Three to five years of related work experience in a PeopleSoft-driven, HR team environment.
-Good understanding of basic system functionalities.
-Lotus Notes development or database management experience a plus.
-Working knowledge of MS Project, Visio, and Excel.
-Strong project-management skills.  
-Excellent communication and presentation skills.  
-Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
-Ability and desire to learn and employ new technologies.
