HomEq Delinquency Resolution Specialist

HomEq Servicing Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wachovia Bank, is a leading full-service loan-servicing company servicing approximately $31.7 billion in assets.

In this position, you will process loans in pre-foreclosure, foreclosure, bankruptcy, claims and REO status according to state and investor guidelines. You will ensure timeliness and accuracy when processing delinquent loans, research/resolve issues and analyze data/process workload using various tools. In addition, you will complete system maintenance to add/change/delete data, document actions taken on system and use system reports, spreadsheets and/or database software to analyze data and process workload. You will also assist staff members with escalated calls and unusual or complex issues. Additionally, you will perform complex and varied research or analysis to resolve inquiries/issues.

Excellent verbal/written communication skills and PC proficiency are required. Must be detail-oriented and able to meet objectives under tight deadlines. Strong problem-solving, organizational, follow-up and analytical skills are necessary. Mortgage or installment loan servicing experience is essential. Thorough knowledge of federal/state/local laws and regulations are a must. Property inspection/preservation/hazard insurance knowledge is a plus.
